Skeletonwitch/Havok- The U.S. Abomination Tour

One of the heaviest tours of the year is currently winding its way around the US, featuring 2 of Pearl’s fastest and most brutal drummers on the roster- Dustin Boltjes, of Skeletonwitch, and Pete Webber, of Havok! Only a few stops into this lengthy and terrorizing trek and Skeletonwitch and Havok have been destroying each stop of this tour, with their fast paced and hard-hitting metal sounds packing the venue walls and keeping the crowd in a constant state of pandemonium. The current tour, which is titled “The U.S. Abomination Tour”, is scheduled to take place over a 3-month period, making 63 stops and will bring both bands from coast to coast, and back again.

Skeletonwitch is currently touring in support of their 2011 release, Forever Abomination, which was the first album that featured Pearl artist, Dustin Boltjes, on drums. Dustin is currently out on the road slamming away on a Vision Birch Lacquer kit (VBL), in Black Ice. An ideal kit for a drummer with the speed and ferocity of Dustin, the birch shells of the Vision Birch kit omit bright tones that perfectly detect and project each intricate note of his technical playing. Dustin’s specs can be found below:

Vision Birch Lacquer (VBL): Black Ice (234)

22x18- bass drum (x2)
10x8- rack tom
12x9- rack tom
16x13- hanging floor tom
14x5- Sensitone Elite snare (steel)

More information on Dustin and Skeletonwitch can be found on their official website,

Colorado based thrashers, Havok, have taken the metal world by storm with their screeching guitars, thunderous drums, and the incredible drumming of Pete Webber. The blazing fast fills and impeccable technicality that Pete demonstrates throughout each Havok track have been a major factor towards the band earning the reputation for one of today’s finest up-and-coming metal bands. Pete is on the road with his trusty Masters MCX kit, finished in the striking Lime Sparkle Fade lacquer. His current setup is as follows:

Masters MCX: Lime Sparkle Fade

22x18- bass drum (x2)
10x8- rack tom
12x9- rack tom
16x16- floor tom
13x5- Omar Hakim Signature snare
