Ray Luzier Jams with Little Kids Rock and Una Elementary
Pearl Artist, Ray Luzier- of the Grammy Award winning and iconic hard rock band, Korn- was on hand at Una Elementary in Nashville, TN, this past Tuesday, to unveil their brand new Pearl Roadshow Series drum set and to have an impromptu jam session with a class of students who participate in the Modern Band program. This Roadshow Series drum kit is one of 20 donated to Metro Schools by Pearl Drums in partnership with Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding music education in disadvantaged public schools nationwide.
Little Kids Rock is the nation’s leading nonprofit provider of popular music instruction, instruments and curricula to nearly 1,300 public schools in 30 cities, having served more than 325,000 children. In Nashville, Little Kids Rock programs reach more than 8,000 students in 38 schools with weekly music lessons rooted in popular music genres like rock, funk, country, pop, metal, reggae and others.
Ray Luzier is a big supporter of Little Kids Rock and music education. He visited Una Elementary to inspire, entertain and collaborate with students, who have been receiving music lessons all year from their teacher Ryan Payne, who in 2012 was trained by Little Kids Rock and equipped with instruments like electric and acoustic guitars.
