Pop Evil Releases Debut Single
After what seemed like an eternity of teasing and waiting, Michigan-based rockers, Pop Evil, have returned to the rock airwaves with their first new offering, “Footsteps”, the debut single from their forthcoming album, which can be heard below. The new album, which holds the recently released title of Up, is currently scheduled to hit the shelves on August 21st, courtesy of Eleven Seven Music. Up will mark Pop Evil’s fourth studio album and the follow-up to their 2013 breakout release, Onyx, which hosted the No. 1 singles “Deal with the Devil”, “Trenches”, and “Torn to Pieces”. Pop Evil’s Up is currently available for pre-order through iTunes.
For Pearl Artist, Josh “Chachi” Marunde, this new album stands as his sophomore studio effort with Pop Evil, having joined the band in 2011 during their War of Angels tour cycle and first appearing on record for the previously mentioned Onyx recording session. Chachi, the ever-so-entertaining drumming sensation is typically known for his remarkable live show, however, his past work in the studio with Pop Evil truly exemplifies the importance of tasteful and effective rock drumming- as proven through his work in “Footsteps”.
On the Up touring cycle, Chachi will be unveiling his new Crystal Beat drum set- Pearl’s recently reintroduced acrylic series of drums- in his signature 1-up, 2-down setup and topped with his preferred 14x6.5 Masters MCX snare drum. More information on Josh “Chachi” Marunde can be found here.
