Papa Roach & Escape the Fate Team Up for US Tour!
It seems like we’ve been talking a lot about Papa Roach these days, and it’s certainly for a good reason. Hot off their early-2013 co-headlining run with Stone Sour, which can be read about here, Tony Palermo and Papa Roach have announced another massive US tour with support coming from Robert Ortiz and Escape the Fate! A night guaranteed to be filled with pandemonium and utter chaos both off and on the stage- as well as some beautiful drum tones courtesy of both Tony’s and Robert’s Masters MCX drum kits- this tour brings together rock fans of varying backgrounds and spanning throughout multiple generations to celebrate the magic of each band’s impeccable live show. Dubbed “The Connection Tour”, Papa Roach and Escape the Fate will kick off this 5-week long trek at Tinker Field at the Earthday Birthday Festival on April 13th in Orlando, FL, before making its way around and across the US and finishing up at the massive Rocklahoma Festival, in Pryor, OK, on May 18th. A full list of dates can be found below.
This headlining tour comes as the first for Papa Roach from their latest studio release, The Connection; however, with the huge amount of high praise and repetitive airplay they’ve been receiving, we’re sure it won’t be the last. Currently riding on the wave of their sophomore single, “Where Did the Angels Go”, Papa Roach is in extrememly high demand, with their unprecedented live show assisting in their ongoing success. Pearl artist, Tony Palermo, will be rocking his custom Masters MCX drum set for this tour, adding a second 26x16 bass drum to his setup- thus making this 6-ply, all maple, custom lacquered Masters Series kit just-that-much-more amazing. More information on Tony Palermo, along with pictures and full specs on his Black Cherry lacquer Masters MCX kit, can be found here.
Escape the Fate is hitting the road in support of their new album, Ungrateful, which is scheduled to hit the shelves on May 14th, courtesy of Eleven Seven Music. The first single from the new album, which also stands as the band’s title track, was released on February 11th instantly receiving a massive amount of praise and heightening the excitement for the release of the band’s forthcoming album. Audio of Escape the Fate’s first single, “Ungrateful”, can be heard below. Pearl’s own Robert Ortiz will be hitting the road with his custom Masters MCX kit finished in Arctic White and complete with dueling 22x18 bass drums that are geared to shake the venue walls, and a matching 14x6.5 Masters MCX snare drum to achieve plenty of body and mix-cutting crack. Full specs for Robert’s kit can be found here.
As previously mentioned, The Connection Tour is scheduled to kick off this April, with both Papa Roach and Escape The Fate offering a live show that shouldn’t be missed.
