Nonpoint Announce 2013 Fall Tour Plans

For those rock fans who weren’t fortunate enough to catch Nonpoint on any of their numerous summer tour dates, today is your lucky day! The hard rock sensation, Nonpoint, recently announced their upcoming winter tour plans in which the band will be coming to a stage near you for a guaranteed unforgettable night of furious, adrenaline-pumping hard rock!  Teaming up with Megadeth and Fear Factory for 15 select dates, “The Super Collider Tour” will kick off at Myth Live, in St. Paul, MN, on November 11th, and spend the following 3 weeks traveling around the US before coming to a close at The Socorro Entertainment Center in Socorro, TX, on December 14th.  Nonpoint will be touring in support of their latest studio album, a self-titled effort that was released in September of 2012 and featured the hit single “Left For You”.  Upon its release to radio, “Left For You” shot up both the Hard Rock and Active Rock singles charts, scorching into the Top 20 almost immediately following its release before finally residing at the No. 16 position on both charts.  The official video for “Left For You” can be seen below.

Backing this hard rock sensation, providing the powerful, precise, and ferocious backbeats of Nonpoint’s signature sound sits, Pearl artist, Robb Rivera.  Robb’s insanely aggressive technique has helped mold Nonpoint into one of today’s premier rock acts, slamming his Reference Series drums with a fervor that exudes passion and excellence.  Upon joining the Pearl roster back in 2011, Robb Rivera turned to Pearl’s Reference Series drums to provide the deep and warm tones desired for the recording sessions of their latest album, and for the following tours in support.  With Nonpoint’s dark and heavy sound, Robb desired the maple and mahogany blends found in the larger sized toms and bass drums of the Reference Series, as explained in the Reference Series Recipe, in order to achieve a deeper tone from the warmer sounding wood blend.  Robb’s full specs are as follow:

Reference Series:
Wine Red lacquer (100)

20x18 bass drum
14x10 tom
16x16 floor tom
18x16 floor tom
14x6.5 Reference Series snare drum
