New Murderdolls Album!

Pearl artist, Joey Jordison, has already had an incredibly hectic start to his summer, and it only seems to be getting busier with the upcoming release of the new Murderdolls album. Squeezing time in between juggling 2 of the biggest metal acts of today, in Slipknot and Rob Zombie, Joey made time to lock himself down in a studio to, not only, write the new Murderdolls album, but to also record both the drum and guitar tracks. The album, which is titled, “Women and Children Last” is set for an August release off of Roadrunner records, and will be shortly followed up by a rare Ozzfest appearance in the UK on September 18th.

In the studio, Joey slammed away on a Pearl Reference Series kit in Granite Sparkle. While several different drum configurations were used throughout the recording session, Joey’s main setup consisted of a 12x8 rack tom, 13x9 rack tom, 16x16 floor tom, 18x16 floor tom, and a 20x18 kick drum. Joey also used an arrangement of various Pearl snare drums, including his 13x6.5 steel Joey Jordison Signature Snare. In the live setting, Joey leaves the throne to another Pearl artist, Racci Shay, who uses a big sized Reference kit which includes 2- 24x18 kick drums, a 14x14 floor tom (used as a tom), 2-16x16 floor toms, 2-18x16 floor toms. For a snare drum, Racci has been out rocking a 14x6.5 Reference Series, 20 ply, wood snare for extra attack and body.
