Nate Morton and Tracy Broussard Take Over The Voice

NBC’s singing sensation, The Voice, was taken over by a pair of drummers this week, when Nate Morton- the house drummer for The Voice- teamed up with Tracy Broussard- drummer of country music superstar Blake Shelton- during Monday’s ‘Top 8 Performances’ episode.   Nate Morton, the go-to, drumstick-flipping showman who has continually and rightfully held the drum throne since the inception of The Voice, was kind enough to lend the drumming spotlight to Tracy Broussard during Blake Shelton’s soulful performance of the single “My Eyes”.  A video of this performance from Tracy Broussard and Blake Shelton, along with a video of Nate Morton performing with show contestant Kat Perkins, can be found below.
Throughout 2014, both Nate and Tracy are turning to the open and resonant tones of Pearl’s Reference Pure drums.  For Nate Morton, a massive 9-piece Reference Pure setup finished in Ocean Sparkle has become the main kit for the show, although his Masterworks Series, Reference Series, Vision Series, and secondary Reference Pure series drum kits have been known to make an appearance during highlighted contestant performances.  More information on Nate Morton can be found here.

For Tracy Broussard, a Reference Pure kit in his proven 1-up-2-down setup will serve as the centerpiece for Blake Shelton’s stage throughout this year’s ‘Ten Times Crazier Tour’.  This year’s trek will kick off on June 6th at LP Field in Nashville, TN, and wind its way around the US for the following 4 months before their final tour stop at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA, on October 5th.   More information on Tracy Broussard can be found here.
