Mayer Hawthorne Gets Set for a Summer of Pop Stardom

If you’re searching for the next big thing to hit the pop music world, then look no further than Mayer Hawthorne!  With a new album, a hot new single, and a plethora of tour dates and TV show appearances scheduled over the course of the next several months, Mayer Hawthorne, and his supporting cast of top-notch musicians known as ‘The County’, have released a fresh new track that is becoming the talk of the pop genre.  The track, titled, “Her Favorite Song”, which can be seen and heard below, includes Mayer Hawthorne and the County’s signature throwback groove and soulful feel, bringing Mayer Hawthorne’s “new good days” vision of modern-day-soul to reality.  “Her Favorite Song” can be found on Mayer Hawthorne’s upcoming album, Where Does This Door Go, which is scheduled to  drop next week, on July 16th.

A name that isn’t necessarily new to all, Mayer Hawthorne has spent the last several years supporting today’s hottest pop acts on the road, having his name plastered across the brightest marquees at the world’s most iconic venues and building up an astounding and dedicated fan base along the way.  And, starting in only a few days time, Mayer Hawthorne and The County will be back at it again, supporting One Republic on their 2013 summer tour!  On July 17th, this must-see trek kicks off on at the Center of the Universe Festival in downtown Tulsa, OK, and it will spend the following month winding its way around the US before coming to a close at The Woods At Fontanel, in Whites Creek, TN, on August 18th.  To add even more excitement into the mix Mayer Hawthorne and the County will be performing on The Today Show on July 15th, Jimmy Fallon on July 16th, and lastly, stopping by the Jimmy Kimmel Show for a multi-song performance on August 17th. 

Providing the flawless, tasteful, and heavy groove for Mayer Hawthorne and The County is Pearl artist, Quentin Joseph.  A soulful musician that perfectly demonstrates the true job and role of a drummer- being a time keeper, a band leader, and providing the foundation to every song- Quentin Joseph brings the deepest pocket imaginable to each of Mayer Hawthorne’s retro-soul sound.  On this current run, Quentin is turning to his simple-yet-effective Reference Series drums setup, to serve as canvas for his sensational craft, relying on the innovative formula of varying and individuality found in the Reference Series Recipe, to accomplish the exact sounds needed for Mayer Hawthorne’s unmistakable sound.  Quentin’s full specs are as follows:
