Kamelot Releases Video for "Necropolis"

Florida based prog-rock legends, Kamelot, have released a new video for their sophomore single, “Necropolis”, which can be viewed below. The single can be found on Kamelot’s latest studio effort, “Poetry for the Poisoned”, which was released in mid-September of 2010, and instantly launched into the No. 6 position on the Billboard Hard Rock Album Charts. Since the release of the album, Kamelot has toured the world over, including tours in Latin America, Europe, Canada, and the United States, with thousands of fans packing the house each night anxiously awaiting Kamelot’s signature sound and stunning live show.

Pearl artist, Casey Grillo, who is usually known for his swift and steady footwork, intricate fills, and powerful playing, shows a little more of his grove in “Necropolis”, with a more simplistic, yet heavy, backbeat carrying the song from section to section. Throughout the past tour, Casey relied on his trustworthy Reference Series drums to provide the same warm and deep tones found on “Poetry for the Poisoned”. Between the mixed wood combinations and varying bearing edges in the Reference Series Recipe, Casey is guaranteed to achieve the exact tones he is looking for due to the wide tuning range. Casey’s specs are as follows:

Reference Series: Purple Craze (193)

22x18- bass drum (x2)
10x8- rack tom
12x9- rack tom
16x16- floor tom
14x5- Reference Series Snare Drum (wood)
20x14- gong drum

Kamelot is busy working on new songs and material for their follow up studio effort to “Poetry for the Poisoned”, along with gearing up for their return to the stage on The 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise.
