Justin Timberlake Reigns Legendary

With the sun fully set and the house lights dimmed, the glow of the monstrous, bright-red stage conquered the night sky.  As the crowd stirred in anticipation, hooting and hollering for the show to start, mastermind drummer, Brian Frasier Moore ascended the back steps to the 4-tiered stage, taking up his all-too-familiar position behind his beautiful Reference Series drums.  It was time to go to work...

Upon pulling into the stadium parking lot an entire 7-hours earlier and, to great surprise, discovering I was one of the later attendees to arrive to the venue, the magnitude of the Legends of the Summer Tour quickly came into perspective.  It was the “perfect storm” of concerts.  Two of music’s biggest names- Justin Timberlake and Jay Z- at one of the most famous stadiums in the world- The Rose Bowl- in the music Mecca of Los Angeles for a one-night-only extravaganza that had, understandably so, captivated the entire Entertainment Capital of the World since the tour’s late-February announcement.  Appropriately titled “Legends of the Summer Tour”, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z delivered an incredible night of music, trading off the spotlight and exchanging hit for hit, offering the sold out crowd a jaw-dropping spectacle that more than exceeded its “legend” title.  Throughout the 3-hour long spectacle, the 90,000 (yes, 90,000) fans in attendance sang and danced along to the biggest radio hits that have continually invaded airwaves throughout the past decade, as the mega-superstars and the backing band of top-notch musicians put on the biggest show to hit LA in years.

Dead center of it all, atop the absolutely humongous stage, sat Pearl artist, Brian Frasier Moore, who filled the warm summer night with his insanely deep pocket and barrage of flawless drum fills.  Backing up Justin Timberlake, just as he has since January, Brian Frasier Moore spent the evening proving to all why he is one-of, if not thee, most in demand drummer of today, with a resume longer than most and voicemail inbox that’s flooded with wishful requests from the biggest names in the biz.  Brian has spent this entire calendar year touring in support of Justin Timberlake’s latest studio album, The 20/20 Experience, which hosts the chart topping singles “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors”.  Throughout the worldly travels alongside Justin Timberlake, grooving in the biggest musical spotlight possible including performances at the Grammy Awards and the Superbowl pre-game party, Brian Frasier Moore has turned to his Reference Series drums to provide the absolute perfect tones, regardless of the situation.  Through the innovative design of each drum being built as an individual instrument, with different shell specifications in each drum of the Reference Series line, Brian is guaranteed to have the bright high tones from the birch/maple 8” and 10” rack toms, the warm and well-rounded mids from his all-maple 12” rack tom, and the thunderous lows from his maple/mahogany blended floor toms and bass drum- all as described in the Reference Series Recipe.  Brian’s full specs for his “Legends of the Summer Tour” rig are as follows:

Although the date slowly came, the Los Angeles stop of The Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour quickly passed in an almost-unfair manner.  The Rose Bowl transformed back to its normal state as both crews from Justin Timberlake and Jay Z packed up and prepared to ship out to the next stop, thus ending a magical event that will be talked about for years.  For Brian Frasier Moore, however, the madness of Justin Timberlake’s ‘20/20 Experience World Tour’ doesn’t stop well into 2014 and beyond.  For more information, and to keep up with their whereabouts, please be sure to visit,
