Gene Hoglan 'Experience' Events Planned For This Fall

Legendary extreme-metal drummer and Pearl artist, Gene Hoglan, recently announced his plans to host a unique series of clinic-like events, which are being simply dubbed 'The Gene Hoglan Experience'.  A drumming spectacle unlike any other, ‘The Gene Hoglan Experience’ will include performances, lessons, stories from the road and the studio, an interactive Q & A session, and also the opportunity to meet Gene and discuss all things drums, drumming, and music related.  As stated in the official press release, "The Gene Hoglan Experience" is "an intimate gathering of metal fans brought together to celebrate the legacy and 30-year career of one of metal's most legendary drummers."

These 'The Gene Hoglan Experience' showcases are being planned in celebration of Hoglan's upcoming DVD, a documentary-style film about the inner workings (personal and technical) of the master of metal drumming himself. This is Gene's second DVD release, which is scheduled to be released this fall, and it comes as a followup to the incredibly popular 2011 DVD, "The Atomic Clock".

Gene Hoglan, of Testament, Death, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Angel, and Dethklok fame, along with countless others, has built a much deserved reputation for being one of the finest metal drummers of our time, with his incredibly lengthy and highly impressive resume serving as proof to his stellar status.  Currently packing up his Session Studio Classic drums in preparation for a lengthy North American tour with Testament, the first date of ‘The Gene Hoglan Experience’ will coincide with Testament’s appearance at the Noctis 666 Metal Festival and Conference at Vern’s Tavern in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on September 21st, and admission to the experience is included in the conference ticket.
