Disturbed’s ‘The Light’ Tops the Charts

Recently reunited rock titans, Disturbed, have returned to their typical chart-topping ways with their latest single “The Light”, which seized rock radio’s top spot earlier this week.  Hosted by Disturbed’s sixth studio release, Immortalized, which was released this past August, “The Light” stands as the album’s third single, following the widely popular debut single, “The Vengeful One” and that album’s title track, “Immortalized”.  The official video for “The Light” can be viewed below.  Immortalized, the album, opened at the No. 1 position on the Billboard’s Top 200, Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts during the time of its release, making Disturbed the third band in history to debut No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart for five consecutive releases.

In support of their new, chart-topping album and coinciding single, Disturbed will be kicking off their 2016 ‘Immortalized World Tour’ next month beginning at the Fargo Civic Auditorium in Fargo, ND, on February 10th, and closing 15 weeks later at the Mapfire Stadium, in Columbus, OH, on May 20th as part of the Rock on the Range Festival line-up.  A full list of tour dates can be found below.

For the drumming community, Disturbed’s long-awaited and ceremonious return also brings the return of one of rock’s finest drummers- Pearl Artist, Mike Wengren!   A longtime member of the Pearl Drums Artist Roster, Mike has become one of the most recognized drummers in the rock world, with his aggressive-yet-straight-forward approach behind the kit invading radio airwaves since Disturbed’s mainstream breakthrough in 2000.  On this upcoming tour, Mike Wengren will debut a new, custom Reference Series drum set, centered by a 14x6.5 Reference Steel snare drum, driven by Eliminator Pedals, and supported by the near-indestructible ICON Rack System.  More information on Mike Wengren can be found here
