Digital Summer Announces Spring Tour with 10 Years

After great success and response while on the road with Sevendust and Drowning Pool, the melodic hard-rock band, Digital Summer, is hitting the road again; this time... with 10 Years! The tour kicks off Thursday, February 24th and has confirmed 10 dates in the south, with more dates quickly filling up, due to be announced shortly. With radio singles, "Just Run", "Hostage," "Whatever it Takes," "Disconnect", and "Playing the Saint", scouring the airwaves, Digital Summer is becoming one of the most talked about, up-and-coming rock bands to emerge on the mainstream in years. Their sophomore studio effort, “Counting the Hours”, which was released back in May of 2010, assisted in landing the band on tour with Drowning Pool and Sevendust throughout 2010. On the album, fellow Pearl artist, Morgan Rose, filled in for Digital Summer’s Ben Anderson, laying down the drums for the singles “Anybody Out There?”, and “Use Me”.

Ben Anderson, Pearl artist and drummer of Digital Summer, continues to make a big splash in the drumming world, becoming one of the most talked about drummers currently climbing the ranks of the rock music world. Ben’s rock solid timing and smooth fills around the kit are the forefront for the buzz surrounding his drumming abilities. With fills and rolls that are seamless and tasteful, Ben is constantly adding to the overall depth of the song, while showing off his abilities when necessary. Throughout the spring tour, Ben will be reaching for his almighty Reference Series kit, to provide the optimum tone throughout every venue they play. Even with the classy look of the White Marine Pearl wrap, ever-so-boldly defined with black lugs and black hoops, Ben’s kit proves to be more than just eye-candy with their perfect pitch and true tone achieved with the technology behind Pearl’s Reference Series of drums. From the smallest of drums, an 8x7 rack tom in Ben’s case, to his biggest, a 22x18 kick drum, Ben’s kit offers the finest of drum tone with the various innovative combinations of woods, plies, and bearing edges that make up the Reference Recipe. As the curtain raises, the house music softens, and Digital Summer takes the stage, Ben knows that he can rely on this mixture to provide the perfect balance of highs, mediums, and lows, night after night.
