Daft Punk Steals the Spotlight at The Grammy Awards

Pearl artist, Omar Hakim, helped the electro-pop sensation of Daft Punk steal the show at the 56th annual Grammy Awards Show, which took place this past Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Along with helping the helmet-clad French duo acquire 5 new Grammy Awards to add to their collection through his tremendous studio work on the now-award-winning album, Random Access Memories, Omar Hakim also provided a stellar live performance of the hit song, “Get Lucky”, which brought the packed house to their feet and flooded the Twittersphere with praise. Daft Punk performing “Get Lucky”, live at the Grammys- alongside, special guest, Stevie Wonder- can be seen below.

Daft Punk swept the five categories in which they were nominated, taking home Grammy Awards under the categories of ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Best Dance/Electronica Album’ and ‘Best Engineered Album’- for their latest studio release, Random Access Memories- along with acquiring Grammy Awards for ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’, for the single, “Get Lucky”.
