Blake Shelton Performs “Sangria” on The Voice
Country music superstar and the defending champion-coach, Blake Shelton, stepped away from the iconic spinning chairs and onto the brightly lit stage of The Voice to perform his latest hit single, “Sangria” as part of Monday’s Top 8 performance episode. This spectacular performance, which can be viewed below, brought the packed house of the Universal Studios soundstage to their feet as Blake Shelton and his backing band of all-star musicians- including, Pearl Artist, Tracy Broussard on drums- masterfully performed the hook-heavy and chart-scorching track to perfection. “Sangria” stands as Blake Shelton’s third single from his latest studio release, Bringing Back the Sunshine, which debuted at the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Top 200 Chart and the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, and also hosts the former No. 1 singles, “Neon Light”, and “Lonely Tonight”.
For this primetime performance, the highly versatile house-drummer of The Voice, Nate Morton, was kind enough to let his fellow Pearl Artist, Tracy Broussard, take over the drumming responsibilities of the show for a few minutes; and Tracy ran with the opportunity, laying down the highly tasteful, rock-solid, and utterly flawless backbeat to Blake Shelton’s latest hit track. Tracy relied upon the sonically superior tones of Pearl’s Reference Pure drums for this performance, which offer highly resonant and open tones due to the thin-plied shells and Reference Pure Recipe shell composition.
