12 Stones Album Update!

Pearl artist Aaron Gainer and his band, 12 Stones, are gearing up for a new album to be released in early 2010. This studio release will be 12 Stones’ 4th album and the follow-up to their 2007 release, “Anthem for the Underdog.” 12 Stones has accomplished more than most musicians in only their short 9 year career. Having already gone platinum and after winning a Grammy with Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee, the news of 12 Stones’ 2010 release has been creating a ton of buzz and excitement throughout the rock world.

Aaron will be hitting the studio with his Pearl Masters MCX kit. The MCX series consists of 6 plies of pure Maple shells and is finished in Pearl’s Black Sparkle Fade lacquer. His set-up consists of sizes 10x8 and 12x9 for the rack toms and 14x14 and 16x16 floor toms with legs. For his kick drum, Aaron uses the traditional 22x18 for a perfect medium of depth and attack. To match his kit, Aaron is also using a 14x5.5 Masters MCX snare for a nice balance of body and crack.
