Overview

Since forming in Philadelphia in the early 1990s, the Roots have been one of the best regarded bands in hip-hop and music. They were one of the first hip-hop bands to take up instruments and they've been an acclaimed act for nearly two decades.

Although the band is known for their explosive live shows, they're busy creating the TV-ready intros and outros that will buffer each segment on the show. Frank and The Roots will hold a residency at NY's Highline Ballroom playing weekly shows and will continue working on a new album.
