Overview

Austin Moore was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky in 1979. His gift was discovered at the tender age of three. His parents did not know at this point that his admiration was to be a drummer. Even though drums had not come into the picture he began to bang on lampshades and coffee cans. Four years later he began playing at his local church, Moore Temple Church of God in Christ in Louisville where he served as the main drummer for a number of years.

In 2000, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue and expand his musical horizons. His first major job in the industry was Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir. With Dr. Jones, Austin served as the main drummer for (B.E.T) Black Entertainment Television’s, “Bobby Jones Gospel Show” until 2012. The Bobby Jones Show is a syndicated show that is aired worldwide giving the platform for many gospel artists around the world to showcase their gifts and talents through song. Given this opportunity he had the pleasure of playing and working with gospel greats such as Grammy Award Winning Artists; Rev. Milton Biggham and the Georgia Mass Choir, Donnie McClurkin, The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Other major gospel artists include; Dr. Judith Christie McAllister, Dorthy Norwood, Bishop Paul S. Morton, VaShawn Mitchell, the Late Rev. James Moore, the Late Bishop Walter Hawkins, Nu Tradition, and Juanita Bynum.

Since 2005, Austin has served as the main drummer for the legendary gospel artist and Five-time Grammy award winner, The Blind Boys of Alabama. With the Blind Boys he has traveled to every state in the U.S as well as every continent in the world many times over sharing his gift for the world to see. Thus far with the Blind Boys, its enabled him to share the stage and workloads with many of the music industry greats such as; Darryl Hall/Hall and Oats, The Oak Ridge Boys, Taj Mahal, Tom Petty, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Late Allen Toussaint, The Late B.B King, Jim Lauderdale, Robert Plant, Aaron Neville, Pattie LaBelle, Mavis Staples, Jamie Johnson, Vince Gill, Stevie Wonder, Justin Vernon & Bon Iver, Seinabo Sey, and many more. Austin has also performed on T.V Shows such as; Jay Leno, Good Morning America, Stephen Colbert, Don Imus, and Canada’s #1 channel CBC Network.

Lastly, it is Austin’s wish to continue to produce music that is not only pleasing to the ears of man but, pleasing to the ears of God. He is determined to move forward in the music industry to inspire and be a blessing to people all over the world.
